Data Visualization – GSA Inventory

Data Visualization – GSA Inventory

We are visual thinkers (probably what led us to our backgrounds in architecture). On many occasions we come across some interesting data sets that we have a hard time getting our heads around – until we make them more visual.
The General Services Administration (GSA) provides workplaces for federal employees, and oversees the preservation of historic federal properties. GSA regularly publishes data relating to inventory and leases. We took a look after the August 2011 data was released and decided that we needed to jazz up the data so it was more comprehendable. Below are the fruits of our efforts. Note that the data is interactive. Play around with it and discover something new about the property owned or leased by the Federal Property.
